Catholic Website Hijacked
24th Aug 2007

Users trying to access a Catholic website found material which included sexually explicit titles.

Villagers were shocked to discover they were victims of cyber porn barons and greatly concerned by a webcam stripogram which featured a young woman.

Cloyne Diocesan website operator Canon Gerry Casey said he was forced to change the website from Cloyne.irl.com to Cloynediocese.ie because the original hosting company went out of business. Reports the Irish Examiner website.

The old domain name Cloyne.irl.com which is originally a sub domain of Irl.com is currently directing users to a holding page which features third party text link adverts.
