Chinese Police Shut Down Website for Fabricating News

The Internet Security Department made a public announcement that the public security organ has imposed a 10-day administrative custody on Su, who allegedly fabricated typhoon-related news on the internet. The website Dedewang.cn suspected of fabricating news has been shut down. This relates to an article posted entitled "Sixty Three Staff from a Large Network Company Are Collectively Missing When Typhoon 'Sepat' Hits Fujian's Xiamen" Su, deputy manager of the marketing department surrendered himself and confessed to fabricating news to drum up visitors to the website.
