Margaret Mackay from Canada quit her job to setup a website which is an online registry of reputable contractors in the region.
According to 680News, the renovation business is apparently was worth more than $17-billion in Canada in 2006.
Her website Renocontractors.com helps you find a reputable contractor in Canada. After 20 years working as a legal assistant, she quit her job over a year ago and created the website which she said now gets 30-to-40,000 hits a month.
She charges $300 a year for experienced contractors to be registered and included on the list however it doesn't cost anything to use the website to find a contractor.
