On a Mission for Fame in 31 Days
27th Aug 2007
Would you quit your job to try and become famous in as little as 31 days???
John Gerard is on a mission to do just that, he has quit his job and collapsed his first home purchase deal, to use the down payment for a wild, month-long odyssey, he describes it as, “Either the STUPIDEST or most brilliant thing I will ever do”.
John is on a one man country trek mission from New York to Los Angeles to try and become “Famous in 31-Days”.
He quotes on his website Famousin31days.com “I realize this is NOT normal behavior,” Gerard admits while loading a box of promotional t-shirts in to the trunk of his ‘Fame-Mobile’ (‘96 Pontiac Grand-Am). “But I had a similar idea about ten years ago that I didn’t try because I was too afraid. And I've always wondered how my life would have looked had I actually done it. I guess I didn't want to be sitting around ten years from now (even in a nice house) pondering the very same question.
His goal at the end of the month is to get on the Jay Leno show.
Gerard is planning to record the entire 31-day voyage, and compile the material into a compelling documentary on the seductive yet elusive power of fame.
