Asda's Half a Penny Beer Offer on Website

A supermarket’s website was swamped with thousands of visitors after it advertised beer for half a penny per bottle.
Asda.co.uk home delivery site advertised Heineken on its website at 10p a 20-bottle crate instead of £10.
Asda bosses which is part of the Wal-Mart family last night ended the offer – and apologised for raising hopes.
A spokesman said: “Someone forgot where the decimal point goes. “We do not honour pricing errors. The beer won’t be delivered.”
