Spike Lee to Judge Online Short Film Competition
03rd Sep 2007
Spike Lee says the Internet has provided so many opportunities for young film makers to showcase their work, and we quite agree.
Internet Company Babelgum.com that streams videos online for free is organizing a competition with the winners walking away with $20,000.
Filmmakers who have had work accepted at other festivals can begin making their submissions.
Babelgum users will make the first selection, whittling each category down to 10 films starting in February. The jury will reduce the number to three, and Lee will make the final selections. Winners will be announced in April.
Films must be in English or have English-language subtitles and not exceed 45 minutes.
